Lightstar Solar
Development Funding

Providing capital to fill funding gaps during solar project development

Lightstar Acquisitions and Development Partnerships

Lightstar buys early-mid stage development projects and provides project funding to development partners.

Development Partner Funding

We recognize that development funding is hard to come by, and often comes with a high cost of capital that creates difficulties for small developers to develop projects. Lightstar (LSR) takes a partnership approach to working with developers, often through development services agreements (DSA). Our DSA approach allows developers to operate without the burden of project development expenses and provides developers with the opportunity for early monetization.

Lightstar provides full project development funding to take projects through the permitting and interconnection processes and lends the expertise and capabilities of the Lightstar organization to our development partners.

Project Acquisitions

As an experienced and capable developer, Lightstar buys projects in the early to mid-stages of development. With skilled in-house teams across Policy & Strategy, Development, and Engineering, LSR steps into projects that require further development to navigate the complexities of permitting, interconnection, and program participation. As a long-term owner and operator, LSR completes project development with the mission of achieving all stakeholder objectives. LSR gives sellers the opportunity for early monetization while LSR works towards optimizing projects for construction and long-term ownership.
